Background, aim & purpose
The Campitor Catering Company was developed primarily to provide a low cost community café and to support the work of other enterprises based at the St Catherine's Church Centre. The enterprise has considerable expertise in developing sustainable community catering and provides advice and consultancy support to other ventures within the region. Campitor Catering Company Ltd has also developed a highly successful, professional catering service supplying a wide range of corporate clients. The enterprise works closely with a fully qualified dietician to cater for all dietary requirements. Over the years the catering venture has not received direct grant support. It has been self-supporting from day one. The Campitor Catering Company provides three core services:
Helping Bob "Helping Bob" is a catchphrase to emphasise our work in the community. Bob has come to our Community Café each day for 11 years. In that time, we have supported him and prolonged the period of his independent living in the community. These days we collect Bob from home and taken him home again each day. Helping Staff Campitor Catering Company Director, Dawn Williams is a local person developed through the work of the café. Living within the St Catherine's Church Centre local community, Dawn had married at a young age and had two young children. She had no qualifications and her work experience was restricted to casual waitressing jobs. Dawn was initially recruited as a Kitchen Assistant and, through her own hard work and ongoing mentoring support, she was promoted to Cook and then Catering Manager. Dawn then successfully completed a qualification in Leadership and Management and has now taken on full responsibility for the Campitor Catering Company Ltd as its Director.
