Background, aim & purpose

For 11 years we have provided support to elderly people in the St Catherine's Church Centre. Over time our services have developed from community volunteering, through a developing partnership in service delivery with the Wakefield Metropolitan District Council through to taking on a full contract for the delivery of elderly services.

Building on 11 years delivery and an active partnership with Social Services. Because our services are motivated by nothing other than the delivery of the best possible support we genuinely concentrate upon the delivery of a quality service above all else.

Our services connect to other aspects of co-operative services, especially Campitor Catering Company which provides all meals and refreshments and St Catherine's Community Transport which provides minibuses and drivers to support our services.

Stories of success

Clients in our Day Centre are often supported informally in their homes through visiting by people connected with St Catherine's Church and help with shopping. There is a clear relationship between the Community Café run by Campitor Catering Company and Campitor Social Care as they together support individuals to remain independent in the community.
